“You really do not know exactly how bad you feel until you take that pain away, and then it is shocking!”
I have been on a stem cell journey for almost 20 years. I was diagnosed with Lupus and not doing well. I was either allergic to the medication (Embrel and generic plaquenil) or they simply just made me feel even worse (methotrexate prednisone). I had two very young boys and was scared I would not see them grow up.
I did a ton of research and eventually went to a clinic in Mexico for my first stem cell treatment. I was skeptical but in complete shock with the results. Over the course of 20 years, I have probably had 10 treatments. However, they are super expensive and the recovery was really hard on me. I liked that the cells came from placenta after a caesarean birth — it made sense and obviously worked. I was super frustrated that nothing like that was available here in the US. But — a few months ago a friend told me about Ways2Well and this has been life-changing for me!
I purposefully waited to write my review for a few weeks after my treatment. I didn't want to review just the facility and the employees — but I wanted to be able to write an honest review about my experience and results with the procedure itself. Of course every single person I encountered along this journey at Ways2Well was amazing, and the clinic is beautiful! They truly are absolutely the best of the best!
I went in 3 weeks ago. It had been over 2 years since my last stem cell treatment from abroad and I was feeling run down again with a lot of pain in my hips and spine. I was also struggling with Allodynia which was driving me insane! I was a little worried because the treatment seemed too simple compared to what I was used to undergoing. I was shocked it was just a simple syringe of cells and I could not imagine it would make much difference. However, after 2 weeks, I started noticing I was able to sleep better. Then each day for this past week, I have literally had almost no pain! You really do not know exactly how bad you feel until you take that pain away, and then it is shocking!
I can honestly say my results are as good, if not better, than any treatment I had in Mexico. But the fact that I didn't spend a week in bed recovering from the treatment and it cost less than half of my previous procedures made for the icing on the cake! I did the IV cells instead of spot treatment, because my goal is always to keep my system boosted.
I think the most important part of stem cell therapy used for chronic disease is that people understand it is not a cure. You are still responsible for maintaining a healthy lifestyle and taking care of yourself. It CAN be a form of remission though, and I am so blessed to have not been to a rheumatologist in 20 years and I am completely free of all those harmful medications.
I truly cannot recommend Ways2Well enough. I will be seeing them many times in my future because this will be my only choice for maintaining my health from here on out. We are so lucky to have such a beautiful clinic provided by intelligent and knowledgeable people in Austin, TX! Thank you W2W for giving me confidence that my next 20 years will be even better!!!
